Baroness Ashton held a meeting on May 31st, with heads of Euromed employers, Dr. Alaa Ezz - CEEBA Secretary General, Federation members of Businessmed chaired by Tuis as well as Bernardino Leon and EEAS Directors and Heads of Units.
Baroness Ashton ratified the EU support to ENP south countries inclusive the 3 Ms. She further highlighted that econmy and democracy are two sides of the same coin and that economic stability and job creation is the only way forwards.
She confirmed the crucial role of the business community in support of the democratic developments in the region and in building bridges accross the mediteranean.
During the meeting. The Mediterranean Blue was awarded to Baroness Ashton as a symbol of gratitude from the business community for her support to the region, the award was handed over by Mrs. Ouidad Bouchmawi, President of Businessmed
