The Mediterranean area is largely affected by a generalized economic slowdown causing difficulties for MSMEs in terms of competitiveness, sustainability, internationalization and capacity to innovate. The EU-funded INVESTMED project within the ENI CBC MED Programme calls for advanced solutions to ensure sustainable growth, economic development and protect the existence of existing and upcoming start-ups.
INVESTMED is set to positively impact young graduates, entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and women of all ages, who will take part in the project’s sustainable business management training program, the ‘business idea in the scouting stage’ coaching and mentoring course and the INVESTMED funding and CCI venture support. MSMEs and Start-ups, with young people/women in managerial positions, will receive a tailored support scheme, take part in incubation and acceleration program as well as be part of online business platforms. Lastly, the project will positively reinforce public authorities and decision makers, whose capacities to facilitate access and protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to MSMEs through the development of a bilingual (English/Arabic and French/Arabic) guidebook to IPR and its commercialization as well as offering IPR reviews and training.
