From November 30th to December 02nd the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek 2016) celebrates its 10th Anniversary in Barcelona.

Under the slogan “A need for action†the 10th MedaWeek edition will offer a unique platform to explore the business opportunities of competitive industries. Speakers are, among others, Mariano Rajoy, President of the Governement of Spain, Tamam Salam, Prime Minister of the Government of Lebanon and Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. During the three-day event a wide range of forums will offer the opportunity to share best practices and experiences, propose concrete projects and create new business opportunities.

 

The 10th MedaWeek promotes the Mediterranean and its key economic sectors worldwide, recognizing the important place of the private sector in the socioeconomic development of the region. Throughout the last nine editions, over 13,000 businessmen and businesswomen have participated and attended the Mediterranean Week.
MedaWeek is a must-attend event for businesses, corporations, governments and multilateral organizations, as key platform for the promotion of the economic integration of the Mediterranean and the Euro-Mediterranean Association. It is an iconic economic and business reference, as well as an annual event of meetings and gatherings of the business communities with the governments and the multilateral economic organizations from the Mediterranean, the European and the Arab worlds and other regions. MedaWeek provides a dynamic platform for the promotion of a strong Euro-Mediterranean alliance and regional economic integration.

The anniversary event is jointly organised by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Official Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), with the collaboration of other prominent Euro-Mediterranean entities working in the field of regional development.
