CEEBA held the first RAIT with Egyptian BSO’s as part of the EU-funded INTECMED Project

CEEBA, in cooperation with SEKEM Foundation, held Egypt’s first Regional Alliance for Innovation Transfer (RAIT) on the 9th of May 2021. The event is part of the ENI CBC Med “INTECMED” Project that works towards the identification of research results, maturing and transforming them to business-ready innovations and promoting them with networking events.

Key representatives from innovation facilitators participated from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and its Entrepreneurship centre,  M.S.M.E.D.A, SME finance group in National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and the Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development and International Council for Small Business (ICSB).

The participants discussed the methodology to link business, transfer information and technology, and implement the Business Ready Innovation Mechanism (BRIM) methodology.

The RAIT is the first step in developing a shared vision of how to overcome the gap between academic knowledge and business development. The second RAIT meeting is expected to be held in September 2021.
