FINAL RESULTS OF THE ENPI CBC MED PROGRAMME
A press conference took place at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation to present the achievements of the first phase of the ENPI Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) “Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme”, as highlighted in the report “Acting together for the Mediterranean.”
Drafted by the Joint Managing Authority in collaboration with the representatives of the 13 countries participating in the Programme, the report comprises an assessment of the outcomes and impact of the 95 projects funded during the 2007-2013 period. The report shows how the Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme has become a “hub” for cooperation among public and private actors – including Ministries, public administrations, universities, civil society organisations and SMEs – allowing over 700 organisations to work together and jointly address some of the most relevant challenges in the Mediterranean area from socio-economic development to the adaptation to climate change. But most of all, the report gives voice to the people and tells how projects positively contributed to improving their lives.
