The 10th Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum, co-organized by ASCAME (Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry), AFAEMME (Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen) and JFBPW (Jordan Forum Business and Professional Women). Also, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Amman and the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona. The event will be held next October 2nd and 3rd, 2018 at the Amman Chamber of Commerce Theatre, Jordan.
MedaWomen is one of the most iconic events about women entrepreneurship. This year’s edition will offer the opportunity to women in technology to take the center stage in order to address key opportunities and pressing issues in the Mediterranean region. Particularly, it will focus on influencing future perspectives and planning actions in the STEM sector (Science, Technology, Economics and Mathematics).
A Roadshow of the EBSOMED project (Enhancing Business Support Organizations) will be implemented within the framework of the MedaWomen Forum. Under the theme of “the incorporation of women entrepreneurs in the digital economy,” the EBSOMED project will be presented into detail, including the presentation of its main activities, goals and services. The roadshow will provide information about development and opportunities to small and medium-sized enterprises and will include workshops, seminars, training sessions, presentation of best practices and round-tables.
EBSOMED is a 4 years project co-financed at 80% by the European Union through the EuropeAid Programme for a global amount of EUR 6 Million. It aims to boost private business and business networks in the southern neighbourhood. The project is implemented by a public-private alliance.
MedaWomen is a great opportunity for women to exchange challenges, talk about changing women’s roles, provide a view of the rapidly changing dynamics in the social and economic areas in the region and provide solutions for businesswomen.
