In the frame of the EU funded ENI CBC MED Project Med Pearls, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and CEEBA are organizing with their project partners from Spain, Italy, Greece, Palestine and Jordan the one-day conference “ICT Powering Med Tourism” at the CAIRO ICT Exhibition, exhibition Hall A, on the 10th of November.
Innovative ICT solutions promoting tourism packages and destinations are of paramount importance. Staying up-to-date with the newest standards is a must for successful tourism marketing. This is, even more, the case in the Mediterranean countries, which were hit most severely by the drop in tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Med SMEs often still lag in international ICT marketing trends.
The conference will bring together Mediterranean Tourism, e-marketing and ICT experts presenting and discussing new technologies and ICT applications for tourism business and destination marketing. It will present how SMEs can take advantage of the new standards and trends and will showcase best practices.
The conference will also give an insight into the emerging trend of Slow Tourism that is promoted by the Med Pearls Project. The project aims to internationally position the Mediterranean as a unique and integral destination to experience the Med lifestyle through SlowTourism (ST). Med Pearls | ENI CBC Med
The iHERITAGE ICT Mediterranean platform for UNESCO cultural heritage project will join the Med Bridge conference and presents its innovation-driven growth methodology to promote UNESCO sites and cultural heritage in Egypt and the Mediterranean by using the latest Information and Communication Technologies (ICT): Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) and thus promoting SME and start-ups. iHERITAGE | ENI CBC Med
