EU – EGYPT WATER COOPERATION DAYS
The EU delegation in Egypt – in cooperation with the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations – CEEBA are organizing the first EU – EGYPT WATER COOPERATION DAYS on 17.-18. October 2018. The event is held in the framework of Cairo Water Week which will take place from 14.-18. October 2018 under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
On the 17th of October, the EU-Egypt Water Business Forum will tackle the private sector’s role in the industry and will share success stories of Joint Ventures. It will also discuss the water’s key role in achieving sustainable economic growth and to how to best meet with increasing demands and scarce resources. Representatives from the the Private sector, European Development Partners, International Development Partners, Arab Financial Institutions, GoE officials and key figures from the water sector shall be present.
The EU-Egypt Water Dialogue will take place on the second day – 18th of October 2018 aiming at creating a policy dialogue platform to discuss key strategic issues in the water sector and how to best tackle them (Cost recovery, integrated investment planning, decentralization, localization of industries). Also, the role of development partners in supporting sector sustainability and reform shall be addressed. Is shall be dedicated to the European, International and Arab development partners.
