HorizonCraft

In Southern Sardinia (Italy), Beirut (Lebanon), and Alexandria (Egypt), youth unemployment remains critically high, with many young people lacking the practical skills needed by local MSMEs. This mismatch between education and labour market needs limits opportunities and fuels social inequality. HorizonCraft (Sailing towards Mediterranean expertise building) responds by creating a Euro-Mediterranean internship scheme that connects youth with real work experiences and builds the capacity of MSMEs to mentor and support them. The project will help young people gain hands-on experience and job-ready skills, support MSMEs in becoming active mentors and employers, and build stronger links between education and the labour market in the areas targeted by the project.

Our project partners:

  • Association TDM 2000 (Italy)
  • Mediterranean Initiatives for Development and Leadership (Lebanon)
  • Have a Dream (Egypt)
  • Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (Lebanon)
  • Federation of Artisans and Craftsmen South Sardinia (Italy)

HorizonCraft is a project under the Interreg NEXT MED programme with a duration of 24 months and a total budget of 1.100.000,00 €, of which 89% is co-funded by the European Union.
