The Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA) is one of the three Egyptian partners in the SEEDS project, working alongside the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) and Healthtech. CEEBA’s role focuses on strengthening the link between research, business, and policy, ensuring that innovative solutions developed within SEEDS reach farmers, processors, and SMEs in Egypt’s cereals sector. Through its extensive network of business associations and industry actors, CEEBA facilitates stakeholder engagement, promotes climate-smart practices, and supports dissemination and communication activities to maximize the project’s impact. By building bridges between innovators, agribusinesses, and policymakers, CEEBA contributes to creating sustainable business models and resilient value chains for ancient grains.
SEEDS (Sustaining Economies and Enhancing Dynamic Structures) aims to reinforce the cereals supply chain in MENA countries by reviving ancient grains known for their resilience to climate change, pests, and diseases. The project leverages the InnovAKIS platform to foster knowledge sharing, accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions, and support the development of robust local food environments. By combining tradition with innovation, SEEDS strengthens biodiversity, reduces dependency on imports, and empowers rural communities to adapt to global and environmental shocks.
