EU-Egypt Water Dialogue: Navigating IWSP 2 Bidding and Contracting Procedures

🚰 Join us for the inaugural round of the EU-Egypt Water Dialogue! 🚰

We are excited to bring together representatives from the European Union in Egypt, KfW Development Bank, the Egyptian Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, and the Federation for Construction and Building Contractors, EIB, AFD and SECO . The event aims to familiarize contractors with the bidding and contracting procedures for the Improved Water and Wastewater Services Programme (IWSP 2).

IWSP 2 encompasses a range of projects, including wastewater treatment plants, water networks, and drinking water treatment plants, across four Upper Egyptian governorates: Qena, Sohag, Assiut, and Minya.

The programme is funded by European Development Partners in collaboration with the Egyptian government:
– KfW Development Bank (lead financing institution)
– European Union (grant)
– Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD)
– European Investment Bank (EIB)
– State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO)

With a total budget of €303 million, the program supports drinking water and wastewater projects in partnership with the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater and the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development.
