CEEBA Invites Egyptian Employers to Join the HorizonCraft Consultation

How can internship programmes better prepare young people for the realities of today’s workplace? CEEBA is bringing employers into the conversation.

On 27 July 2026, the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA) will host the HorizonCraft Employers’ Consultation Session as part of the Rapid Needs Assessment (RNA) being carried out simultaneously in Egypt, Italy, and Lebanon. The consultation is a key milestone in the HorizonCraft project, ensuring that the voices of employers directly shape the design of future training and internship programmes.

The session will bring together employers and companies interested in hosting interns to discuss the skills and competencies that young graduates need to succeed. Participants will exchange perspectives on employers’ expectations of internship programmes, the technical and behavioural skills gaps they encounter most frequently, and the mentoring and management tools SMEs need to effectively support interns throughout their placement.

The insights gathered will directly contribute to the development and refinement of the HorizonCraft Youth and Tutor Training Curricula, helping ensure that the programme responds to the evolving needs of businesses while equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and workplace readiness required for successful careers across the Mediterranean region.

By strengthening the dialogue between employers, education providers, and young talent, HorizonCraft aims to create more relevant work-based learning opportunities and foster a stronger connection between education and the labour market.
